Most "masculist" ideas are not widely accepted. I guess this is because men generally don't like to look at themselves as "victims" due to gender roles and the way men are taught to perceive themselves. Ironically, the tendency of feminists to focus on their miseries and complain could arguably be a result of social pressures created by the "patriarchy"...because women are taught to revel in their emotions and talk about their problems, while men are supposed to do just the opposite.

Or maybe I'm looking WAYY too far into all this. Heh.

By the way, I have an unsuccessful similar community that I just created, although it's more satirical than serious.

If you're interested in reading some of my humor, or even joining, feel free:
masculinist_omg.

By the way, why is it spelled "masculist"? I would think the suffix "ist" would be placed after the same ending as in feminist...thus making it masculinist.

"tendency of feminists to focus on their miseries and complain"

Yes, those feminists like to bitch a lot. (Couldn't resist)

"By the way, why is it spelled "masculist"? I would think the suffix "ist" would be placed after the same ending as in feminist...thus making it masculinist."

I'm not really sure. In fact, I can't even mind "masculist" or "masculism" on websters.com.

Spell it how you like I guess.

I'll check out that community of yours.

I'm getting more serious/dedicated about/on masculism ast the years progress, but a dose of humour to go along with my dedication should not be forgotten. Even though it's just to put things somewhat back in perspective.

Militant masculism will do as much good as militant feminism (feminazism ;D).

It's "masculism" instead of "masculinism", for the same reason that it's "feminism" and not "femininism". Or, to put it somewhat differently:

Suffix "-ist" after the mascul(-ine), as with femin(-ine).

The community is dead, much like most of the communities of this sort are.
